In 2020, we went back to the motherland to unite with Ghana’s creative community the Daily Paper way: by hosting a football tournament at the Accra Senior Girls School football pitch.
We previously helped build the pitch together with Puma for a project back in 2017, and since then it has become a meeting ground for young local footballers. And for the Daily Paper fam, the pitch is also the perfect place to reconnect and let loose at the end of a tumultuous year.
For the second year in a row, we got together with some of our Accra friends and family for a football tournament, kitting out six teams in custom jerseys. This year our stunning lineup saw some the best African creatives and athletes battle it out, with La Meme Gang, Free the Youth, Audiomack, Young The Agency, Small God, Eunice Beckmann Foundation, and Melanin Unscripted joining the Daily Paper crew.
